Managed company services

Essential services, business applications and integrated AI—operated for your organization.

April Computers operates the digital services your organization depends on, from identity, private access, company files and email to business applications and integrated AI.

The Essential environment provides a coherent company foundation built on Keycloak, NetBird, Nextcloud and Mailu. Additional applications and AI services can be operated alongside it on our infrastructure or on infrastructure your organization controls.

Start from your current situation

Replace fragmented systems progressively—not through another disruptive infrastructure project.

April Computers begins with the environment you already have. Together, we identify which services should move first, which infrastructure should remain under your control and how employees will transition.

01

Modernize existing services

Move identity, remote access, files and email in manageable stages.

02

Establish a complete environment

Create a coherent company foundation without assembling unrelated platforms.

03

Extend your services

Add business applications and AI without creating another operational silo.

04

Retain infrastructure choice

Use April Computers infrastructure, your selected infrastructure or multiple sites.

Four services, practical benefits

How the Essential environment improves everyday work.

The value of Essential is not only in the applications it includes. It is in how identity, private access, files and email support everyday work as one company environment.

Keycloak

Simplify employee access and lifecycle

Employees use one company identity for connected services instead of accumulating unrelated accounts. Single sign-on reduces repeated sign-ins where supported, while common policies provide a consistent authentication foundation.

Users and groups help coordinate onboarding, role changes and departures around the employee’s company identity.

  • Fewer separate credentials
  • Consistent MFA policies
  • Group-based team access
  • Clearer lifecycle changes

NetBird

Give people access to services, not the whole network

Remote employees and authorized devices connect privately to the services they need. Policies can follow company users and groups rather than granting broad access to an internal network.

Protected applications can remain away from direct public exposure, and access can be adjusted as roles change.

  • Focused service access
  • Encrypted remote work
  • Less public exposure
  • Clearer access changes

Nextcloud

Turn scattered files into a company workspace

Teams receive a common place for documents, shared folders and collaborative work instead of relying on local copies, disconnected file servers and repeated email attachments.

Employees can reach approved information through the browser and supported devices while the organization controls the storage location and access model.

  • Team workspaces
  • Fewer isolated copies
  • Easier file collaboration
  • Storage-location choice

Mailu

Keep business communication under company control

Employees receive company mailboxes and webmail, with aliases, forwarding and automatic replies supporting everyday communication.

April Computers operates email with the other Essential services, including spam filtering and antivirus protection, instead of creating another operating relationship.

  • Company mailboxes
  • Flexible mail handling
  • Spam and antivirus protection
  • Integrated operation

One employee journey

Coordinate access across the environment.

1. Onboarding

Create the company identity, assign groups and prepare agreed service, file and email access.

2. Role changes

Update group membership and service access as responsibilities evolve.

3. Offboarding

Disable the company identity and remove connected access through one coordinated process.

Extend the managed environment

Services beyond the Essential environment.

Essential is the standard company foundation, not the limit of the April Computers service catalogue. Additional services are selected according to your requirements and the application’s operational needs.

Business applications

Managed application environments

Run selected business applications with coordinated deployment, configuration, updates, backup and operational support. Architecture, data, capacity and recovery requirements are assessed before an application is added.

Integrated AI

April Flow and other agreed AI solutions

Run AI-enabled services close to your documents, data and infrastructure in a controlled environment.

April Flow lets users ask questions over selected document Collections, receive contextual answers and verify them through supporting extracts.

Connectivity

Private network integration

Connect managed applications with the users, devices and existing services that require access. Additional networking can be designed around your sites, infrastructure and access policies.

Application catalogues

Application-specific environments

Technical organizations and software providers can discuss additional application catalogues and customer environments operated through April Site Operator.

Integration is part of the service

One managed environment rather than separate operational silos.

April Computers configures Essential services to work together and takes responsibility for their ongoing application operations.

Additional applications and AI solutions can use the same managed approach while retaining the configuration, capacity and recovery model appropriate to each application.

A common identity foundation

Users and groups provide the basis for authentication, private connectivity and connected-service access.

A coordinated configuration

Identity, policies, service locations and settings are managed as parts of an environment.

A coordinated lifecycle

Deployment, configuration, updates and capacity are coordinated across applications.

One operational contact

One relationship when an integration, update or recovery process requires attention.

Managed application operations

What April Computers operates.

April Computers manages the agreed application environments while your organization retains control over users, policies, information, infrastructure choices and its operating model.

Deployment and configuration

Deploy selected services and configure the environment for the agreed company model.

Application lifecycle

Coordinate versions, configuration changes and capacity profiles.

Operational supervision

Supervise the managed environment and follow up when attention is required.

Updates and maintenance

Plan application updates as part of a coordinated managed lifecycle.

Backup and recovery preparation

Protect each managed site daily and maintain the agreed recovery model.

Operational support

Provide one contact for issues affecting the environment and its integrations.

Infrastructure without lock-in

Choose where the environment runs.

Select the balance of managed service and infrastructure control that fits your organization.

April Computers infrastructure

Run the Essential environment and agreed applications on infrastructure operated by April Computers.

Your organization’s infrastructure

Run applications on suitable Kubernetes infrastructure controlled or selected by your organization.

Multiple sites

Combine infrastructure locations, including a separate disaster-recovery site when required.

Sovereignty does not require your organization to operate every technical layer itself.

Protection and recovery

Daily backup with optional recovery at a separate site.

Each managed site is protected by daily backups.

Optional disaster recovery adds a separate recovery site. Application data is transferred daily and restored there, while persistent data, application versions and capacity profiles are prepared for activation.

If the active site is lost, application services can be activated at the recovery site and managed gateways updated to redirect traffic to it.

Clear recovery expectations

Disaster recovery, not high availability.

The recovery site reflects the latest successful daily recovery cycle, so up to 24 hours of recent changes may be lost.

Recovery time depends on the environment and validation required during activation. The service does not promise zero downtime or automatic failover.

Technology and operational transparency

Transparent foundations with a consistent operations platform.

Essential uses Keycloak, NetBird, Nextcloud and Mailu. Kubernetes and Argo CD provide the deployment foundation. Additional applications retain their own technology and operational requirements.

April Site Operator is April Software technology rather than an open-source component. April Computers uses it to coordinate the application layer across customer environments and active and recovery sites.

April Site Operator

Application operations across catalogues, customers and sites.

The platform manages applications, customer environments, sites, versions and capacity profiles from a GitOps source of truth.

Its catalogues are not limited to Essential. They can include other business applications and services such as April Flow.

A controlled transition

Modernize and extend services in stages.

01

Review

Identify current services, applications, AI requirements, infrastructure and recovery needs.

02

Design

Agree on target services, access, applications, locations, responsibilities and sequence.

03

Deploy

Prepare the environment, integrate services and validate access.

04

Transition and operate

Move users and services, then manage the ongoing application lifecycle.

Scope and timing depend on the systems, data volumes and organizational requirements involved.

Operate the services your organization needs without giving up control.

Discuss your identity, remote access, files, email, business applications and AI requirements. We can define a practical path toward an integrated and operated environment.
